Solidworks Online Transaction Failed License Transaction FailedAnswered Assumed Answered Online license transaction failed Question asked by Gijs Manders on May 6, 2019 Latest reply on Dec 16, 2020 by Abraham Navarro Like Show 13 Likes 13 Comment 29 Hello, I am using Solidworks Online Licensing on multiple desktops and laptops for a while now.
Solidworks Online Transaction Failed How To Manage ThisWe have a pretty stable internet connection so no problems there, and it is working pretty well. We use Solidworks 2019 SP2 Except now i get an error at startup on one desktop. Solidworks Online Transaction Failed License Transaction FailedError: Online License Transaction Failed, please check your internet connection. When i change the license in the cad admin dashboard to Machine Licensing instead of online it recognizes that this license is changed and says something like: Solidworks is not enabled for your account, ask your Cad Admin. So with my internet connection there is no problem, as it recognizes the license is changed. When i changed it to machine licensing i can remove the Credentials folder and then use the activation wizard to activate solidworks on this desktop. ![]() What i tried: - Remove Credentials folder from userappdatalocalSolidworks -- this will trigger a login screen - Remove Solidworks folder from userappdatalocal - Use a different Solidworks account with another online license (which works on other desktops). Run installation manager and Repair solidworks - Remove Solidworks and install again. Anyone with other ideas Gijs Manders May 21, 2019 7:19 AM Correct Answer After contact with my VAR this was the solution: - Close all sessions of SOLIDWORKS and all other products - Rename user ID file Browse to C:Users AppDataLocalSolidWorksCredentials. Delete the ud.xml file. ![]() Start SOLIDWORKS - Login with SOLIDWORKS ID and confirm So it was a combination of the credentials and the Flexnet files. My guess is something changed on network setting or firewall. Or Windows updates. Like Show 1 Like 1 Actions John Burrill May 6, 2019 1:52 PM Mark Correct Correct Answer Call your VAR. There are settings on the server side that only they can access. In one case I had a user who was assigned more than one license despite the interface supposedly not allowing that. In another, I had an unreleased license on a machine that had been restarted several times. In both cases, my VAR was able to do something on their end to sort it out. ![]() It is too bad I wasted a bunch of time today trying different things to get my expensive software to work. This is dumb. Does this happen with other software Ive never heard of it.
